Curriculum vitae:
Dalibor
Kuhinek was born on December 30, 1976 in Pakrac. After attending Czech primary school, he attended
the Technical School in Daruvar. He graduated in 2000 (with an emphasis on
scientific research) in radio communications and professional electronics, and received his doctorate in 2009 from the
University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing,
department of electrical measurement technology. He defended his doctoral
dissertation entitled "Virtual instruments for measurement of rock samples
deformation".
After
completing his studies, he was employed at the Faculty of Mining, Geology and
Petroleum Engineering in 2000 as a junior assistant. In 2003 he became an
assistant, and in 2011 he became a senior assistant. In 2013, he was elected to
the scientific-teaching position of assistant professor, and in 2018, to the
position of associate professor and in 2023 professor. In the academic years
2017/2018 and 2018/2019, he was the deputy head of the Department. In the
academic years 2019/2020. and in 2020/2021 he was the vice dean for teaching
and students of RGNF.
His
area of research interest is the development and automation of measurement
systems, primarily in the determination of rock and soil properties,
determination of explosive properties, and explosion protection. He is the head
of the Laboratory for Electrical Measurements and Instrumentation, and a member
of three other laboratories at the Faculty: Geomechanical Laboratory, Laboratory for Testing Explosive
Substances, and Laboratory for Calibration of Instruments for Measuring Noise
and Vibration Caused by Blasting by the Instantel
Company. He has been designing electrical installations for mining facilities
since 2005. He is the author or co-author of 36 scientific papers in journals,
proceedings of international conferences, and professional papers. He has
published 8 scientific articles in recognized international journals. Together
with his colleagues, he has received several awards from the ARCA, INOVA, and
ČIB-EKSPO innovation exhibitions.
Since
2000, he has been participating in organization of Seminars on explosion
protection of electrical and non-electrical devices and installations as co-organizer,
organizer and lecturer. Seminars are held at the RGN-faculty for participants
from industry who work as responsible persons in areas endangered by explosive
atmospheres.
On
20.7.2022. he passed the professional exam and as of September 2, 2022. member
of the Croatian Chamber of Electrical Engineers under number E-3517.
He
is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), the
Croatian Metrology Society (HMD), the technical committee of the Croatian
Institute for Standards HZN/TO 511 (Explosives for civil use) and HZN/TO E31
(Explosive atmospheres) and the Zagreb Electrotechnical Society - EDZ. He is
also a member of the AMAC Alumni FER association. Since 2015, he has been a
member of the editorial board of the scientific and professional magazine for
explosion protection: "Bulletin of the Agency for Areas Endangered by
Explosive Atmospheres".
